anyone who knows me well, knows that i am fascinated by sibling relationships. a big part of it is that i am an only child – curious about how different my life would have been had i had a sister or brother. i watch my three girls with interest as they fight (ok, maybe it’s more like frustration and not interest!) and practically break down sobbing when they love each other. it’s just very interesting to me. so i had the opportunity to photograph a lot of siblings lately. here they are – aren’t they all so beautiful. so lucky to have each other!

hello to you that love the music from my jewelry site! federico aubele, the amazingly talented argentinean singer/songwriter, is playing at solana beach’s own belly up tavern on thursday, october 14th! check it out:

i will be there!
ok – WHAT a weekend.
first there was this – front row seats/VIP section to Pearl Jam at SDSU’s Cox Arena. AMAZING show! they played for three hours – i am in awe as to what they give their audience – 1ooo%. i watched ev’s mom and brothers rock-out and couldn’t help but be more fascinated with them. can you imagine the amount of pride they feel as 20,000 people sign to her son’s/their brother’s lyrics? wow, quite impressive and inspiring… (pssst – thanks jason!)
then there was THIS! my 15 minutes of fame. it was fun while it lasted! the san diego union tribune profiled my jewelry business and i received SO many nice, kind e-mails from people. wow. i’m super touched. i couldn’t help but shed a little tear and wish my mom was here to share this fun time with me… so good things come in threes. so of course i had to buy a lottery ticket for wednesday’s draw. if you never hear from me again…you know why!

my girls LOVE to be involved with what i am doing. i asked them if they felt like modeling for me and they jumped at the opportunity. they got themselves dressed, brought a basket of accessories and off we went at 5pm on a sunday. the sun was going down and it was nice and quiet. we had so much fun – their looks are all their own, their own outfits, their own “posing.” no coaching at all. i was really intrigued by that. they could give pippi longstockings a run for her money. here are a few….

i always thought i was a b&w kind of gal. love the intensity, the simplicity, the depth of it. but color somehow has snuck into my life – to color or to b&w? you be the judge….

I just made a big shipment of hand stamped necklaces bound for Denmark! I thought they were fun and inspirational – each is different in their own way….
I had the opportunity to photograph a very cool high school senior… love how he’s rocking his guitar. check it out.
